"Formosa" means
"beautiful" in Portuguese. This name was once given to an island in East Asia
- now known as Taiwan - where the founders, Austin and Nina, were born.

More than just a place, Formosa has come to symbolize beauty, warmth, and a deep connection to home.When Austin and Nina first arrived in Tasmania, they felt an immediate sense of familiarity. The vast fields, breathtaking landscapes, and crisp, fresh air reminded them of the beauty they cherished. The kindness and humor of the local community made them feel truly welcome.

Inspired by both their roots and their love for this new land, they decided to name their first business Formosa- a tribute to the beauty that ties their past and present together.
